Man arrested with approximately R$ 4 million in contraband is taken to the Federal Police

Early Sunday evening (18), a 35-year-old man transporting various products from Paraguay was taken by the Municipal Guard to the Federal Police Station in Cascavel.

According to reports, he was a passenger on an interstate bus traveling from Foz do Iguaçu (PR) to São Paulo (SP). In a joint operation by the Municipal Guard, with support from the Military Police BPMOA helicopter and ground teams, the vehicle was stopped and inspected.

Approximately R$ 4 million in various types of contraband products were found in the suspect's luggage.

The individual was taken to the Federal Police for appropriate measures, and the contraband cargo was sent to the Federal Revenue Service warehouse.
