An integrated action carried out between the Federal Revenue Service and the Federal Police, this Wednesday, September 3, seized in Presidente Epitácio, in the interior of São Paulo, around R$ 300 thousand in smuggled products, originating from Paraguay.

The action was carried out on a single target previously identified by the Federal Revenue Service's intelligence service in Campo Grande, whose investigation revealed a strong use of transport logistics on the highways of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Among the seized goods are electronic products, computer products, perfumes, beverages, among others.

The products will be sent to the Federal Revenue Service's seized goods warehouse in Campo Grande, where the forfeiture process will be processed. If the illegality is confirmed, the goods may be auctioned, incorporated into the assets of public institutions, or donated to social assistance organizations.

In this way, the proceeds of crime are converted into resources that serve the public interest and contribute to the common good.

By removing irregular products from circulation, the Federal Revenue Service protects national industry, combats unfair competition, and strengthens public safety.
