The Federal Highway Police (PRF), in a joint operation with the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB), seized four vehicles loaded with foreign goods without invoices on Wednesday (9) on the BR-267 highway in Nova Alvorada do Sul (MS).

During the inspection, agents approached the Fiat/Elba Weekend, GM Celta, VW Polo Sedan, and Chevrolet Montana vehicles. The driver of the Polo disobeyed the order to stop and attempted to flee, initiating a chase that ended about five kilometers later when the car was found overturned and abandoned. No occupants were located in the searches conducted at the scene.

Inside the seized vehicles, police found various illegally imported electronic products, perfumes, and equipment, all without the proper customs clearance required by law.

The seizure was the result of intelligence work and routine inspections aimed at combating smuggling and embezzlement in the region, a route often used for the illegal transport of goods from Paraguay.

All vehicles and products were sent to the Federal Revenue Service headquarters in Campo Grande, where the official count and applicable legal procedures will be carried out.
