Military Police Seize About 1,500 Bottles of Perfume and Arrest a Man for Smuggling

On Sunday afternoon (the 13th), military police officers from the Tactical Force of the 28th BPM/I arrested a 41-year-old man for smuggling in Andradina.
While on patrol, the team received a tip that a vehicle had been loaded with suspicious boxes near the bus station. The officers stopped the vehicle and subsequently located another vehicle whose driver identified himself as the owner of the merchandise.
Upon inspection, they found 128 boxes containing approximately 1,500 bottles of foreign-made perfumes that lacked the proper customs clearance.
The man, the vehicles, and the goods were transferred to the Federal Police in Araçatuba, where the arrest was confirmed.
In total, a Chevrolet Spin vehicle and the cargo—valued at approximately R$400,000—were seized, dealing a significant blow to the criminal operation.
