Joint operation targets contraband and uncertified items; seven establishments were inspected

An integrated operation seized more than one metric ton of contraband goods in downtown Maceió. The operation, codenamed “Piratas,” brought together teams from the Federal Revenue Service, the Alagoas Civil Police, and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
The seized goods are estimated to be worth R$ 4 million and will undergo inspection before being sent to their final destination.

According to the agencies involved, seven commercial establishments were inspected during the operation, which focused on combating smuggling and the sale of counterfeit or uncertified products.
According to the teams, uncertified items can cause electric shocks and fires, in addition to lacking technical guarantees. The operation also aims to curb unfair competition in the marketplace.
The seized goods are estimated to be worth R$ 4 million and will undergo inspection before being sent to their final destination.
