Police operation in Sidrolândia seizes R$400,000 in illegal goods

An operation by the 8th Independent Company of the Military Police (CIPM) resulted in an estimated loss of R$400,000 to organized crime in Sidrolândia. The action focused on combating smuggling and embezzlement in the region.


In all, nine military police officers worked to inspect highways and side roads, which led to the seizure of six vehicles loaded with illegal goods, as well as the arrest of ten people.


Among the items seized were cigarettes of foreign origin, tires, tents, curtains, clothes, cosmetics, perfumes, glasses and electronics.


All the material was sent to the Federal Police Station, where those responsible will face charges of smuggling and embezzlement.


The Military Police stressed that the operation is part of ongoing actions to combat crime in the region and that further inspections are expected in the coming days.
