Police seize load of BRL 1 million in illicit goods on BR-280

The Military Police seized around BRL 1 million worth of smuggled goods in the city of Flor da Serra do Sul last Friday night (26).

The truck, driven by a 38-year-old man, was loaded with around 200 cartons of cigarettes from Paraguay, 100 cartons of Argentinian wine and 100 gallons of olive oil from Argentina.

The man was arrested and taken to the Federal Police in Santo Antônio do Sudoeste. The cargo remained at the disposal of the Federal Revenue Service in Dionísio Cerqueira, Santa Catarina.
