Police seize more than 10,000 counterfeit perfumes in SP

Products that imitated major international brands were also sold online.



On Tuesday (17), the Civil Police seized more than 10,000 bottles of counterfeit perfume. The products were in a store in the East Zone and in a warehouse in Greater São Paulo.


According to the police, two people were operating the scheme and they will now be charged with crimes against industrial property. The products imitated major international brands and were also sold online.

One of the targets of the police operation was a store on Silvio Penteado Street, in Brás, where the sale of pirated products was confirmed. Packages of numerous international brands were stored there.


Another part of the offensive took place in buildings in Guarulhos. During the raid, a warehouse of counterfeit perfumes was discovered. The distribution was operating in Jardim Santa Francisca.


The goods from both locations, which were the targets of the operation, were seized. According to the police, the products have yet to be examined.
