PRF seizes 15,000 pairs of counterfeit shoes bound for São Miguel do Oeste

Two trucks were intercepted in Maringá (PR) with cargo lacking tax documentation. The drivers were arrested, and crimes against industrial property will be investigated.

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized approximately 15,000 pairs of counterfeit shoes late Monday afternoon (14), around 5:30 p.m., on BR-376, in Maringá (PR). The cargo was in two box trucks and was bound for the city of São Miguel do Oeste (SC).


The truck drivers did not present tax documentation for the products. They claimed to have loaded the merchandise in Nova Serrana (MG). According to the PRF, the seized shoes are imitations of well-known brands.


The cargo was seized, and the drivers were taken to the Maringá Civil Police Station. The police authorities will be responsible for investigating crimes against industrial property.
