Among the seized products are cell phones, drones, smartwatches, tablets, and other electronic items. This action is part of the Federal Revenue Service’s ongoing efforts to combat smuggling, embezzlement, and the irregular circulation of goods in e-commerce.
According to the inspection, the products showed signs of irregular origin, including goods linked to sellers known as “noteiras,” as well as possible cases of smuggling and embezzlement. These practices undermine fair competition, harm companies operating within the law, and pose a risk to consumers, since the products may circulate without adequate proof of origin, warranty, or compliance with the standards required in the country.
