Warning: Anvisa Orders Seizure of Counterfeit Products Imitating Ozempic and Mounjaro

The agency identified unregistered products of unknown origin; the measure also applies to batches of the drug Mounjaro KwikPen with English labeling and unproven origin
The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) ordered the seizure and banned the sale of four products being sold illegally in the country: Ozempic Power, Mounjmax, Maxtwo + 3D Slim, and Maxtwo Detox. The measure was published in the Federal Official Gazette.
According to Anvisa, the products lack registration, notification, or filing with the regulatory agency and are manufactured by an unidentified company. In addition to the seizure, the agency has banned the manufacture, distribution, advertising, export, and use of these items throughout the country.
According to the agency, the decision was made after identifying advertisements for the sale of these products, which were being offered to consumers in violation of regulations.
Anvisa also ordered the seizure of two non-compliant lots of the drug Mounjaro KwikPen, used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity.
Batches D830169 and D830169D are prohibited from being stored, sold, distributed, advertised, transported, or used.
According to the agency, the products were labeled in English, were not registered with Anvisa, had unproven origins, and were transported in violation of Brazilian health regulations.
