Civil Police seize around 40,000 counterfeit products from stores in downtown Sorocaba

A Civil Police operation seized more than 40,000 counterfeit products from two stores in downtown Sorocaba (SP) on Wednesday morning (8).

According to the police, the counterfeit brands reported the counterfeiting to the Sorocaba Police Station. Clothes, shoes and accessories were collected and taken to the city's 3rd Police District.

The retailers did not provide invoices for the products. According to the police, the companies' lawyers can present the documents by a certain deadline. Once the items have been collected, the establishments will be allowed to operate. No one was arrested during the operation.

The police station told TV TEM that it will ask the courts to release the 10,000 items collected to the victims of the storm in Rio Grande do Sul.
