Operation Ocularium: Tax analysts take part in operation to combat counterfeiting in Aracaju/SE

Operation Ocularium: Tax analysts from the Federal Revenue Service carried out an operation on Wednesday 17th to combat the counterfeit of glasses, frames and lenses in 16 commercial establishments in the center of Aracaju/SE. The main aim of the operation is to prevent consumers from buying counterfeit products as if they were originals.

During the operation, hundreds of counterfeit glasses were found, indicating the crime of smuggling. Infraction notices were issued to the establishments inspected, which will be investigated through administrative procedures at Procon.

The operation also investigated crimes against the tax and economic order and consumer relations, which mislead consumers by giving false information about products.
