Action targets illegal online trade in Venvanse and Ritalin in the Baixada Fluminense region; search and seizure warrants are being executed.

Civil police officers from the Cybercrime Division (DRCC) are conducting Operation Breaking Bad in Itaguaí, in the Baixada Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro, on Thursday (25) to combat the illegal trade in drugs controlled by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

The agents are executing search and seizure warrants at the residences of four suspects, after identifying the illegal sale of Venvanse and Ritalin on a marketplace platform. Both drugs are considered narcotic and psychotropic substances and can only be sold by authorized pharmacies with a special prescription.

Reports from the company's Fraud Prevention department indicated two profiles, a man and a woman, constantly promoting illegal sales.

Investigations revealed that the transaction amounts were moved through accounts linked to the daughter of the owner of one of the profiles, and another woman living nearby received part of the funds, indicating the involvement of a family unit in the criminal activity.

According to the police, these women were responsible for receiving and moving the illicit funds through bank accounts in their names.

The Civil Police is investigating crimes of drug trafficking, criminal association, and crimes against consumer relations, reinforcing the surveillance of the illegal trade of controlled drugs in Itaguaí.
