World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

The United Nations World Organization has established May 21st as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. 

The date emphasizes the importance of respecting and preserving cultural diversity, which through its multiplicity of forms of expression contributes to sustainable development and the construction of a more fair, prosperous and receptive world to the treasures and benefits of cultural plurality.
